Terrible Interviewing Experience! Absolutely Horrendous Behavior by Management!
From my experience, I would recommend that you never apply to this company.
Interviewed through phone, Skype, and then, in person.
Everything was normal, until the end with CAO/President, Renee Roozen.
She asked for compensation. I said I wanted an adequate salary for the position and my background. She said that I HAVE to know what I want. I said I needed time to consider it and get back to her. She said I had to tell her NOW. She asked a disparaging question, focusing on my unemployment. So, I asked her what the range for the position was. She wouldn’t answer and, it seemed to me, that she acted disgusted and stormed out of the interview room.
In my opinion, she threw a tantrum, because she didn’t get her way. Great future boss behavior [sarcasm].
I have never seen an adult act that badly, and I hope I never have to again.
Step 1: Interview candidate
Step 2: Act unprofessionally
Profit???
Also, it is not wise to demean, discredit, or belittle your employees. It seemed to me, that Renee Roozen specified skill weaknesses of my potential future boss in front of me and indicated she would have done the same, even if the person she was referring to was sitting there with us during the interview.
Another thing to mention, two of the people I interacted with had been there less than a year and some other reviewers mentioned high turnover. I might keep that in mind as an applicant.
I am glad that I am not working at Dickey’s corporate and, from this experience, I never want to.
As the other 1-Star Dickey’s corporate employee reviews also state (which you should also read), it is management’s way or the highway.
Personally, I believe that there are strongly rooted and deeply concerning issues with management behavior.
If looking for a job, I would steer clear of this company.
