Horrible process and experience. Over 1.5 months after submitting a resume, I was contacted by a recruiter to do an initial phone screening. A week later, I interviewed with a random manager who wasn’t even on that team. I was never given any info on what to expect after that interview, so I emailed the recruiter who set up the interview. Two days later I finally heard back and was told they wanted to schedule 2 more interviews. About a week later I met with the head of the department who was late to the interview, and the following day I met with another manager on the team. The interviews seemed extremely repetitive. I was asked the same questions and given the same info, so the process just felt drug out for no reason. I was told I should hear back within a few days. 6 days later all I received was a generic auto generated email saying I did not get the position. They do not care about you as a person, just looking to fill a role. I probably would not have accepted the offer anyway given the uncertainty with the pending Capital One merger, but this process was just long and unnecessary. Combine the interviews into one single meeting with all three individuals so you aren’t wasting everyone’s time.
