The phone screening with HR was really easy, and she was extremely nice. The next round, where I met with someone from marketing, also seemed to go well. I felt good about the conversation and where it was heading.
However, I didn’t get the role, which is fine. I asked for feedback and received the response, “too textbook and not creative enough.” Given that I only had 45 minutes to interview, I can only explain so much. It’s disappointing, especially since the role has been open for months, and they still can't fill it. That says a lot about a company that struggles to make decisions.
In the end, I’m glad I avoided this team. I’ve had a micro manager before, where no matter what you did, it was never good enough.
