      Web Engineer In UI Interview

      11 Dec 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dropbox (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2014

      Interview

I applied online and was set up with the first round technical screen. The interviewers called me and asked me to navigate to a jsfiddle they had set up with some html code. It was a fairly simple search problem, but giving a javascript interview within jsfiddle seemed very awkward. Things i might do in my normal workflow like writing a test or putting in console print statements are difficult with all the noise in the console from jsfiddle. The two interviewers on the phone also seemed less-than-interested in what I was saying pretty much from the get-go. I got the correct answer, but it was my worst interview experience so far.
