I saw a posting for the position on my college job board, submitted a resume & cover letter expressing my experience with international study and employment, and was invited to a "group interview event". I accepted and showed up early for a 2 hour early morning interview along with about 12 other twenty somethings. We had to fill out an application and then they observed our social skills while we mingled over coffee. We then had to do a mock sales pitch with a partner, had to critique each other, and went through a power point with several questions which we took turns answering. Several staff observed the interviewees and took note of our answers and behavior. At the very end, they revealed the position is 97% PHONE sales. So much for their colorful job description. I felt pretty mislead, but should have known based on the tone of their position posting. If you want a PHONE sales job, go for it, but if your not interested in sales, save your time.
