Leadership Development Program – Supply Chain Management Interview

      15 Dec 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Burlington, ON
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Eaton (Burlington, ON) in Nov 2012

      Interview

First got an e-mail from the HR manager at Eaton in late October to inform me I had been selected for an interview. The first interview was scheduled in early November. I went to the interview on campus, it was only half an hour with one HR manager and a person who was in the LDP - Engineering, it was basically going through my resume and asking a few behavioural questions. It went quite well, they were both friendly and helpful when I ask questions at the end. 2 days later I was notified by the original HR manager that I was selected and they would like to move on with my interview process. The second interview was scheduled in their Canadian head office in Burlington. It was a 10 ~ 15 minutes presentation, followed by question and answer period, plus a standard behavioural questions part. There were 4 interviewers in total. The Canadian region supply chain director, a logistics manager and 2 HR managers including the original one that arranged the whole interview process. They were all very friendly, the presentation went quite well, and occasionally they would stop me and ask for more details or clarification. And they enjoyed it and found it creative, which was a plus. The standard behavioural interview involved a few questions, and there were many follow up questions to them. Overall a great experience, and 3 and a half weeks after my interview, I got a call from the original HR manager, informing me they were really impressed with my qualification and presentation and would love to offer me the position! And the same evening, she sent me the offer letter, background check requisition, bank deposit form and benefits details. I accepted the offer two days later after I had all the details including starting date and time accommodation worked out. This was overall a very positive process!
