HR called me for initial screening, as i haven't heard of this company name not much interested.But then she asked me for package and other details and said will confirm back by talking to the manager. She did come back and till then i searched for this company on wiki and was satisfied to go further.
During the whole process HR was clueless and did not gave me proper updates.
First Round : Over the phone around 50 mins, Java Implementation concepts, asked about angularjs and few more concept and scenario based question. The interviewer tried to touch many topics which was good.
I though I would clear easily,but did not receive a call for a week, sent email but no response.Suddenly after a week the HR called me and asked if I can travel to pune for further rounds.
They seemed interested and so was I. Traveled to pune taking a day off,they took care of flight tickets and all the cabs to and fro bills refunded which was a great thing.
Second Round : Two people taken this round,started again from Java concepts,Singleton,how to make fiveton,Executor service implementation and other implementations. Then the whole architecture of my current project and cross questioning regarding some concepts. They asked some Scala questions as i worked on it. Also asked me AngularJs. It was good round took around 2 hours. Be ready for white board :) in this round.
They have free lunch provided, took me to cafeteria and some chit chats before the next round.
Third Round : It was supposed to be technical but the manager who took my interview in 2nd round thought one more round is not needed so they converted this round to be just Behavioral questions. Went for around 30-40 mins . Eaton is famous for asking many behavioral question so be ready.
Fourth Round : this was with a senior HR and they asked me again behavioral question, do you know about IoT and why do you want to change your industry from banking sector to engineering sector.Why do you want to move to pune? and some other questions, I just answered whatever was natural answer to those questions,package discussions.And then the HR told me to submit the salary slips.
I was free by 5 pm, they asked me if I want i can hang around in there office as my flight back was late in night.But had some friends in pune so i went off to their place.
I was expecting some call from their side or some discussion but some days passed, and then weeks and then month. I kept sending them email about the update. The HR who was coordinating did tell me that there is some consensus meeting and after that the will get the update during all these days but she was also not aware of any proper updates from respective team.
After a month or so, HR told me that she cannot confirm me about it because they closed that position and took no more interview for the same position. This was told to me over phone and I called them many times just to get an update. Till date there is no formal closure from their side.
I was totally disappointed by the way they provided me status quo. They simply wasted their 15k for travel and other arrangements and my 1 full day. I was through all the rounds but don't know what was the issue at their side.
Whatever reasons it would be position closed? Expected package(which i discussed with the HR way before first round) too high? no budget? they should have updated me in a formal manner.
Hope they will improve their process.
