Online screening, brief phone call, then an assessment centre in their office. Staff were friendly and answered all questions. Had a very positive experience despite being concerned by some previous reviews.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Elixirr (London, England) in Aug 2020
Interview
A recruiter I worked with previously got in touch saying that Elixirr was interested in my CV. Looking for a move, so engaged with the process.
Initial call with the internal recruiter was shambolic. She couldn't have been less interested in talking to me. Asked some pretty personal questions, such as are my wife and I looking to have more kids soon. She was obviously distracted as kept looking over her camera, and could see in the window reflection behind her people mucking about. She didn't know how the business was structured, how progression was managed or how staff were measured.
No feedback for three weeks, despite chasing from both myself and the recruiter. Finally got a response to me saying I hadn't responded to a follow up invite (nothing received) and my recruiter was told that my notes were lost.
Had follow up call with Partner who was very good, had worked on a number of the same programmes, and so knew my output. However, he was confused regarding the level I was interviewing for, "We don't hire people in at this level". I get that going from a Big4 to a boutique may involve a name demotion, but the salary was less than I was currently on, and there was no wiggle room on either a joining bonus or equity.
Overall a colossal waste of time, and I've just seen on a major programme that I am on that they have been kicked off the project due to a poor deliverable. Good side step overall.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Elixirr (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2018
Interview
First round entails phone interview and some technical questioning. Final rounds entail individual and group case studies. Case studies were fairly straightforward and the only notably difficult questions were in the phone interview
