I applied online. I interviewed at Ellie Mental Health (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2023
Interview
I liked the CD who interviewed me. Overall it was a smooth process but I ended up declining because of the business structure itself. I found it odd the owner had no experience or clinical background at all. But it was a fine experience interviewing.
I interviewed at Ellie Mental Health (Minnesota Lake, MN)
Interview
Their recruiters kept rescheduling the interview appointment. Wasting time of the candidates. They hire recruiters from India or some third party services because they want to keep costs low but they don’t know the legal rules in other states and trying to hire therapists in Minnesota from other locations seems like a terrible idea. People from nicer climates don’t want to move to bad climate areas. The recruiters from outside the US don’t know what U.S. residents requirements are. The employee candidates qualified are not interested in employers outside of the state. It’s all bad l. Skip this!

Interview
The interviewer (Clinical Director of the particular location) was kind, professional, and honest. This is not a reflection of this specific location or interviewer, but of the overall pay structure at Ellie.
It's quite low, requiring clinicians to see 30+ clients to make a reasonable salary. For most folks, this leads to burn-out and I'm disappointed Ellie continues to contribute to this broken system.
