I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Mar 2018
Interview
I applied online and received an invitation for a phone interview within a week. Phone interview was pretty casual and short. I also had to take a basic personality test and a Technical Skill Assessment. The skills assessment was a bit strange, two parts - a coding section and a part similar to a standardized test (ACT, SAT). For the coding section, they taught you a coding language and assessed your understanding of it. I don't have very much background in coding, but it wasn't terrible. I was then offered an onsite interview in Madison. The interview day was not too bad, involved a 10 minute presentation and some case studies. Overall was fairly pleasant, as far as all day interview processes go. I got a call back two days after the onsite interview with an offer.
The process is very intense. Three or more hours of explanation, exams, and a presentation I had to create. The exams were both logic games and a personality test. I was preparing for weeks.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a process that you find interesting. This can be any process - manufacturing, distribution of products, or a method to create something.
Not invested in who they're hiring if they rely heavily on multiple assessments for applicants to take (personality quiz, etc). These are unpaid and take hours. A poor use of time.
Intro zoom call, and several hours of tests on a lockdown browser before even getting to have the first ten minute phone interview. Phone interview was basically combing through my resume and any gaps.
