Submitted a resume online and didn't hear back for approx. one month. I could see there was a large volume of applicants on LinkedIn Premium so I was not surprised with this. First contact was a screening phone call with an HR Coordinator who was very friendly. Questions were very top-level. During the screening I informed the recruiter that my email address on my resume was no longer active and we corresponded via the one provided - no issue...or so I thought.
Via email, we coordinated a time for me to come in an speak with her and the Digital Strategist. Had a very positive experience and was asked to participate in a case study - a step reserved for the final few candidates.
Here's where things went downhill. After submitted the case, I didn't hear from anyone. I followed up after a week and was informed they were still actively recruiting. After a second follow-up a couple of weeks later, I was informed that the role had been filled. I was welcomed to email the Communications Director - who I hadn't met with.
I reached out and was informed that she had reached out to me to my OLD email address for a second interview with her following the submittal of the case. It's unfortunate that a small admin slip-up resulted in this outcome. Better communication from the HR team could have easily solved this problem - disappointing end to an otherwise positive experience.
