      Director Interview

      22 Jun 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at FCB Global

      Interview

Awful experience. Was reached out by a recruiter several months ago but about a role and each stage of the process took weeks to confirm, requiring many follow ups on my end. Resulted in being ghosted with zero feedback by said recruiter, despite several follow ups. Awful treatment for someone who invested time and energy..

      Director Interview

      10 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FCB Global (Chicago, IL)

      Interview

The entire process took about a month. It started out just fine with an initial phone screen from the HR Director. Then I was set up with a time a couple days later to meet the hiring manager in person for coffee. Meeting lasted about 45 minutes and he was rather pleasant. I was contacted the next day to come in the following week to meet with 6 team members and present a presentation. Fine. I worked on the presentation all weekend. Monday evening I receive a text msg from the recruiter informing me 2 of the people I was supposed to speak to were pulled into a client meeting and we would need to break up the day into two days. Fine. I was also told the presentation would be when I come back at some point the following week. Okay. So I come Into the office, speak with said four people and leave, waiting for feedback. I hear back a couple days later and am told the role I was interviewing for is no longer a priority and they are rolling it up into another director position that they’d like me to interview for. Alright. So this means I now have to speak to an additional 5 people, when I was told over the phone that it would be three and create a brand new presentation. Wow. I’d spent quite a bit of time on the first and now I have to develop another? Now I’m annoyed but agreed to it. I come in the following week. Speak to all 5 people and present. Everyone from the week before and this apparently had great things to say according to the recruiter and the responses to the Thank you letters. However no offer but they would contact me if something more ‘digitally’ focuses came up. Ok well the role I initially was interviewing for was just that- digitally focused. They suggested I interview for what was nothing more than a media planning role at the Director level. Honestly, having to create two separate presentations, one of which was null and void because they changed direction in the middle of the process, then present another presentation while all together having to speak to 10 separate people was a lot. It wasn’t worth it. Though those I spoke with were very friendly and pleasant, smart. The whole process left a sour taste in my mouth.
