I had a highly disappointing experience with the FDM Group, especially as a veteran. Despite their claims of being inclusive and supportive, I found the opposite to be true. I applied for their software engineering internship, which specifically advertised that no prior coding language experience was required due to the initial training they provide. However, the reality was quite different.
During the hiring process, the recruiter made it clear that I was expected to have knowledge of at least 4 coding languages already. This directly contradicts the job description, which promised a beginner-friendly training program. The whole process felt misleading and disorganized. It’s frustrating to be given false hope through job listings that don’t align with the actual expectations, especially for veterans looking to transition into new fields. FDM Group needs to be more transparent in their job postings and show genuine support to those they claim to help.
