The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (North Richland Hills, TX) in Apr 2012
Interview
I met the company representative at a career fair and we exchanged information. I received a call the next day to come in for an interview. Through the interview I learned the position would be no income until the quota of 40P&C and 4Life policies were sold. Afterwards you would receive a $2500 base + commissions, but until that point it would be $0.00.
Was basic and tedious asking me questions about my prior work history so make sure that I understood the job role. Overall it was not difficult to formulate an answer to the questions.
The interview was professional and conversational. The agent clearly explained the role, expectations, and growth opportunities. I was asked about my communication skills, work ethic, and goals. Overall, it felt welcoming, informative, and focused on long-term potential rather than pressure
Detailed with multiple calls. Explained in detail the onboarding and training processes including the financial obligations with starting an agency. There was a personality test to help determine fit with the company.
