Phone call, followed by interview with department Head and second interview with two other in which I needed to present a solution to a case study. Did not agree with having to send the PPT slides to the recruiter for the silly and unjustified reason that they "need to have it prior to the interview". No, they do not need to have it ahead of the interview. Any solution presented is intellectual property, and they should not have it in their hands, having the power to reject any and all candidates while benefitting from the ideas presented. If the method of case study is selected, eliminate the need of the candidate to send the material. The panel should just be able to view it during the presentation, and take own notes accordingly.
