      Executive Assistant Interview

      24 Nov 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Fitbit

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter a few days later. Email response to schedule a phone screen was very prompt. The phone screen went well, or at least I think it went well. Was just asked about my last role and other typical questions. I was told that I would be contacted towards the end of the week if I made it to the next rounds. I was never contacted again. I sent a follow up email to find out status and nothing. It would have been refreshing to know if I made it to the next rounds or not.

      Executive Assistant Interview

      4 Apr 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fitbit (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2019

      Interview

Initial phone screen with Recruiting Mngr who asked some good / in depth background questions. Next was a call with Lead EA who seemed pretty great, painted a clear picture of expectations and environment. Next I was scheduled for an on-site to meet the CMO and his current EA.

      Question 1

CMO informed me that this was anyones 'dream job' since he comes in to the office at 9:30a and leaves by 4:30p and travels very little (he leaves that for his team, he said). He shared his love for surfing, snowboarding and traveling to Mexico. He didn't give the impression that the interview or the role was of any real importance. He asked what I like to do outside of work, but he showed literally no enthusiasm for the marketing department or anything relating to FitBit. I left not knowing a whole lot more about him, his team or how and EA could help alleviate some of his day to day stressors.

      Executive Assistant Interview

      23 Nov 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fitbit

      Interview

      1) Recruiter contacted me with the opportunity and we had a phone interview 2) Phone interview with HR representative at FitBit 3) Onsite interview scheduled. Fitbit canceled at the last minute. 4) Onsite interview rescheduled. Fitbit didn't confirm. I took the morning off of work to go to the interview and as I was driving there the recruiter called and told me they were rescheduling again. 5) Fitbit attempted to reschedule. I said I wasn't interested. If a company cannot respect a candidate's time during the interview process, I doubt they will once they're an employee.
