STAR based. Nothing fancy or special. Midwestern as all hell. It was a panel of three people including the director who showed up and very clearly constrained by the STAR format. Other than that they tried asking about skills relevant to the job.

The interview was a comforting conversation of knowledge back and forth. I felt good to be able to have an educated conversation with someone in my field. Most of the time questions were based off of my experience or something I had mentioned, so answering questions was generally not too difficult.
