I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Forest Home (Fontana, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
Interview process was quite bizarre. I sent in my application, and about a week later received an automated email from a third party interview website on behalf of Forest Home saying I had been selected to participate in a “pre-recorded video interview”. No phone call from a human, not even an email from anyone in HR. Very odd. The video interview was comprised of 9 questions - one of them was about the job itself and why the position interested you, while the other 8 were questions about your religious beliefs and asking for you to back up your answers with specific scripture readings. I’m a born and raised Christian so I was able to do so, but this totally came out of left field and it was not easy to change gears mid-interview when you go in expecting to have to discuss your experience and maybe a little bit about the mission of the company itself. Still never had any human interaction after having completed the video interview. Strange process.

Question 1
How would you respond if someone at camp told you they were gay? Provide scripture to backup your answer.
The interview was very on the spot since it was a recorded video interview. They recorded me while I read the question and tried to think of a response, so there was very little time given to provide a well-thought answer. However, they were very quick about reviewing the interview and contacting me for another interview.

Question 1
What are your thoughts on homosexuality, drinking, drugs, and marriage? Provide scripture to support each of your answers.
Easy. For the most part, they just want to make sure you are a firm believer. The more availability you have the most likely you will get the job. Be Christ-like and go above and beyond for the guest.
