I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Frontier Airlines in Oct 2018
Interview
Filled out application online. Did the personality assessment right away. A few weeks later received an email for a phone interview. Scheduled the phone interview, phone call came at requested time. I had researched and prepped for days. The lady read a few policies to me. Informed me of the tattoo policy and asked me if I had tattoos in any of the restricted areas. I said no, she asked if I had any tattoos at all. My answer was yes, she asked where. I told her my back, one lower back, one shoulder blade. She advised me that they were restricted areas. I was confused, I read and reread the policy and no where did it mention any tattoos on the back. She tersely asked: “if you wore a backless dress would you be able to see the tattoos?” I said yes, the one on my upper back. She further (tersely) advised me if I really wanted to be a flight attendant to apply to a different airline and or have the tattoo removed and reapply for the job after it was fully healed. And she hung up!
