I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gengo in Dec 2018
Interview
No interview but online tests (translating a text of roughly 300 words). You get 3 shots at the basic and pro tests. You have to pay very close attention to typography (e.g. use the right type of dash). They review the tests within 2 days but you have no way to contest the results (even rightfully).
So, in short, they will find (or invent) any minor mistake to reject your test. Maybe they just want to avoid having too many translators for the same pair.
