(interview with your potential manager's manager, but not sure if this step is still accurate cause my interview got cancelled) Honestly it started off really nice. Everyone I spoke to was amazing and the response times were pretty good. However, my skip level interview...that's where things sorta hit the fan for me. It took a bit longer to schedule, which is fine for me, but communication was a bit lacking with updates. I had to constantly reach out to see where the scheduling process was at. And right when they were able to finalize the interview, I get a second email saying they need to cancel and reschedule. I understand rescheduling but that never happened. I constantly followed up for three weeks, only receiving one actual update in that time saying the recruiter would get back to me in a few days. That didn't happen. Until finally on the 3rd week I received an update from the recruiter that they won't be moving forward with my application. I hope Github makes some changes and creates an overall positive experience for applicants. I genuinely enjoyed those who I spoke to during the interview process, but there's obviously a bottleneck that's creating so many negative experiences. I interviewed at Github starting April 2022 and got the rejection email in June 2022.
