Interviews at GoBolt

I applied in-person. I interviewed at GoBolt in Feb 2023
Simple, friendly, would definitely recommend. Great startup company, management is very kind, helpful and reliable. I would advise anyone looking to commit long-term to a company to apply and meet with the management team, they are great people.
- How committed are you to being a good worker?

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GoBolt (Toronto, ON)
I applied for the position and received an automated email to schedule an interview. On my interview date, I waited for about 15-20 minutes before I realized the interviewer was going to be a no show. I received an automated email about a week later to reschedule the interview, and so I did. During this interview, the interviewer did show up however I found it to be an overall unprofessional experience. There was no acknowledgement of the missed interview, minimal engagement from the interviewer and a lot of moving around that kept distracting me. After the interview was completed, I was really turned off from the company and honestly didn't really care if I got a call back. According to the other reviews on Glassdoor & Indeed, this seems to be a trend.
- Why are you interested in the position/company? What is your leadership style? What do you know about our company & values?

Got invited to a video interview. Upon arriving into the waiting room 5 minutes early, and waiting an extra 15 minutes in the room, no one from the TA team showed up. Quite disappointed in the recruitment process.
- No questions because there was no one to ask questions

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GoBolt (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2022
I was left unattended in the interview room for 15mins, got a no-show from the hiring manager, got the silent treatment from the TA team after informing, and was incredibly not impressed by the whole candidate experience.

I applied, was reached out to by a no-reply email to book an initial screen, booked it, went to the link and waited for 30 minutes. Checked to see if they had to re-schedule, but I was just ghosted instead.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GoBolt in May 2022
1. Technical Screening Typical panel interview with other software developers. Talked about previous projects, some system design, some coding challenges, some api design.. Coding challenge was pretty chill and easy, but you should know what you are talking about. Overall very friendly. 2. Talked with director of engineering/CTO Mostly behavioral questions, minimal technical questions. Very friendly as well.
- 1. Chat about distributed system 2. Chat about system design with my previous project 3. API design 3. Simple coding challenge

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at GoBolt (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2022
2 rounds: 1 screen chat with the direct manager and second round with 2 other managers. Both on Zoom and lasted 30 mins- 1hr. It was straight forward, but they had high expectation for the role and the salary that was being offered.
- They were friendly but had high expectation for someone who is fresh out of school with no experience in B2B. I was referred by a friend and passed the first round with the direct manager. I made it cleared that I don't have experience but I was willing to learn and he moved me to 2nd round. Him and 2 other managers grilled me during the interview and asked lots of non-sense situational/technical questions for someone with non-experience. I didn't get an offer and was told to read more business book. Mind you a year later I learned that the company laid off their entire Sales Department, including all the managers that were interviewing me. That was my silver lining.

Solid interview process, did not drag on into 8 stages like some of my other applications. Involved a candid chat with the BDR manager, and then a take home case study (not too much work), followed by a final hour call. All very relaxed, just know why you're applying and what you can offer.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GoBolt in Sept 2021
The interview process involved standard calls with managers. Each interview lasted 30 minutes. The interview questions were pretty typical (tell me about a time...). Took about 2-4 weeks to go through the process and get an offer in hand
