Unique challenges and a bright future
31 May 2023 - Product Manager in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Lots of interesting problems to solve with a motivated team and an innovative approach to logistics.
Cons
Things move at a fast pace and adaptation is key to thriving - lots of opportunity to try new solutions to solve problems, but you'll need to stay up to date on trends.

"Toxic Workplace Culture and Unethical Management Practices
9 May 2023 - Software Developer in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Some Software devs left are great people, but most of then were laid off anyways.
Cons
The founders of GoBolt are the CEO and CTO who are recent graduates and lack experience as employees. Their behavior towards their workforce displays a lack of respect and they view employees merely as a means to an end. They have also demonstrated a willingness to deceive their employees repeatedly. The recent hires for the IT Director and Software Development Manager positions exhibit similar traits as the CTO and lack professional and interpersonal skills. They are skilled politicians but are difficult individuals to collaborate with. It is advised that individuals seeking employment should avoid this company unless their sole motivation is financial gain. The workplace culture is toxic, and the management team displays unethical behavior towards its workforce.

Pros
- CEO Mark Ang is an amazing leader. He doesn't shy away from speaking to anyone and is quite genuine in his approach. - Lots of cool data to work with. - Your work has direct impact. - Flexibility in work environment - hybrid in nature but willing to be flexible if need be. - You work with many talented individuals, and the collaboration is beautiful. You really get to witness and be part of how extraordinary work gets done in a high growth firm.
Cons
- As a junior I was a shared resource with a "generalist" experience. Thus, I was never really an expert in one category. (which is not exactly a con except for the fact that I was given tasks from manager to manager and nobody would take the time to mentor me) - Never really had any feedback in my work, nor any one 1:1 meetings to speak about my performance or get any sort of leadership. - Onboarding could use some work. In my personal experience I was expected to find a way to integrate myself without being left behind. - Emphasis is put on managers, managers have 1:1 meetings, and are taken care of quite well, juniors have meetings cancelled on them, there is just no time for junior staff.

Company doesn’t care about employees
6 May 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The only pro for the company is that they are making money
Cons
-Doesn’t care about employees -If they need to cut well guess what layoffs are coming - Management acts so fake
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
- Intelligent Coworkers - Opportunities to work on cool projects. - Good Benefits - Market Rate Compensation
Cons
Learn to take initiative because you may be on your own a lot. Essentially, you are tasked with onboarding yourself and you find a way to fit in your role. Easy to get left behind. There is beauty in that though. It’s good practice for a university thesis project. You learn a good amount of technical skills if you are very passionate.
