      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Halliburton in Oct 2014

      Interview

First I went through a phone interview which was simple nothing technical at all, talked about my background and knowledge. then i have been chosen for a second interview, at the beginning they told me that the interview will be at one of the company's sites but they changed it and they came the city I was working at, they sent me an email few days before the interview asking me to do a 15 min technical presentation about the Oilfield which is very wide subject, and after asking about if there is any specific things I need to focus on, they sent me few ideas. the interview lasted for two hour at a hotel meeting room, it was simple laid back interview, to be honest it was more like conversation between the three of us , at the end I did my presentation which I couldn't finish it at the required time so they stopped me at the end of the time and asked me few question about it, some of these questions were technical, but it wasn't required to know it. after ten days I got my job offer . there is a physical and drug test you have to take within 48 hours of receiving an email, the physical test consists of (minimum of 20 push ups, 45 sec Balance hurdle, 40 Repetitive squats, 27 Curl Ups, 45 sec Lateral Planks, Sit and Reach)

      Associate Engineer/Field Engineer Interview

      6 May 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Halliburton in Apr 2010

      Interview

I interviewed on campus after a presentation the day before. The presentation was very informative and the interview went great. A lot of typical behavioral questions but was very laid back. I got another interview in Denver which was another presentation and dinner. There were 10 other candidates. The next day we went to a few sites where they were doing work around the Denver area. The only that that had anything to do with an interview was several of the managers who showed us around bringing us one by one into a room and asking if we could handle the job and what PSL we might like. The job starts at 80-100 hours a week and 80-90% travel. A ton of relocation throughout your career. Base salary in the offer was almost insulting it was so low. Overall the people that work there are cool, but the job is intimidating to a fresh college grad.
