I applied online. I interviewed at Hertfordshire County Council (Hemel Hempstead, England) in Feb 2022
It was a video interview with a panel of three on the recruitment team. The questions were quite vague around customer service, organisation and marketing. When I highlighted that I didn't understand one of the questions and asked for further details explained they ignored me and just repeated the question louder with a patronising tone which made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
- Talk about a time you experienced bad teamwork. What is customer service to you? What skills would you need to collect charity donations?

Simple and straight interview with three stages of questions asked by three different panel members. Starts with a general question about the previous task (will be given to you a day ahead of the interview), explain the output, anything you would do differently, etc. The next question was about a study, what do you observe and summarise from the given plots, etc. The final questions are again more generalised, focusing on what experience you have or what you could bring to the table.
- If you were involved in an XY study, what would you have done differently?

3 person panel, pretty basic. Each of them had a turn at asking questions, they didn't seem to be interested in anyone being too adventurous, my ideas weren't warmly welcomed. Probably looking for someone safe who will do the job and no more than that and doesn't have too many ambitions.
- how would you sell a book you haven't read before?
