I submitted my resumed through Indeed.com and got a call about 18 hours later to come in for an interview. Showed up a few minutes early and was told the district manager went to take a phone call. I browsed the store and waited. She came back (young, probably ~26 years old) and I followed her out to the mall lobby to interview. We sat at a table in the middle of the mall (in front of Dillard's) while she questioned me. It is incredibly distracting to interview while you're on display for all mall patrons. Right off the bat she told me the interview would last about an hour but it took less than 30 minutes. She had a heavy packet of papers and appeared to skip multiple pages. I'm pretty sure she knew immediately that I wasn't right for the job. I didn't fit their "look policy" which is very SoCal and trendy.
