I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Huawei Technologies (São Paulo, São Paulo) in Feb 2016
Interview
After two phone interviews in English and Chinese, I was finally invited to a personal interview in a local office (mostly English, a bit of Portuguese and very basic Chinese). After this first local one I was called to the headquarters in São Paulo where I was interviewed in English and Chinese.
The interviewer got invasively private and got quite rude when asking about family background and motivations. Toward the end of the interview he typed on his phone and got on wechat...

I applied through university. I interviewed at Huawei Technologies (Zambia) in Aug 2025
Interview
Too long and very stressful . No transparency. May as well ghost you for a while before response. During interviews, it is relaxed. Minimum of 3 interviews before onboarding. Onboarding is long process too
The first question they asked was, "Tell us about yourself." It felt like a generic opener, but it was vague and didn’t provide much direction. I ended up giving a brief overview of my background, but it felt disconnected.

Question 1
They asked me about my "greatest weakness," but it felt more like a filler question. It didn’t really seem relevant to the role or give any insight into my skills.
