Initially, there was resume-based shortlisting. There was a coding round with 4 medium-hard problems, one of which was a dynamic programming (DP) question, along with 2 SQL questions of medium difficulty. After the coding round, around 50 people were shortlisted out of 200 participants. The Technical Interview (1 Hour) → All the questions were project-based (be thorough with your projects). They also asked me to explain one of the coding questions that I had solved in the coding round. This round went really well. In the HR Interview (2 Hours) → After the technical interview, 2 people were shortlisted out of 11 for the SDE role. I felt like this round was a big waste of my time. It was conducted by 2 SDE developers who had already conducted technical rounds for some other candidates. It seemed like they were just trying to pass the time while their colleagues were conducting technical rounds for the MLE roles. The other person who was selected for the internship had an online interview round that lasted around 40 minutes. They asked me about 2 of my childhood friends, my favorite school teacher, and my best friend from college. They wanted me to come up with 5 good and bad qualities that they would say about me for each person. In total, I had to come up with 40 qualities that were both positive and negative about myself. This took a long time and had several long pauses in between, as I wasn’t really expecting them to ask for 40 qualities about myself. The final questions were about why I was interested in Hyper Verge, my 5 and 10 year plan, my hobbies, if I had any questions for them, and feedback on the interview.
