Hiring was a slow process. I was communicating with two different potential employers and Indianapolis Public Library was the slower of the two. I needed to make a decision on the other sooner than I heard back from IndyPL so I took the other job, heard back, and went to IndyPL.
The interview was fine. It consisted of some basic background questions, after which, I was asked to describe a time when I helped someone with a technology related problem.
A few weeks pass by and I am summoned to go to an orientation. The orientation orients you to be familiar with working at IndyPL in general, nothing to do with your job. You get a picture taken and a photo ID generated and learn how to clock in and out.
