• all 3 interviewers I spoke with were kinda condescending and pretentious, not warm or friendly • pay structure was pretty bad for tech (low base, no bonus, crappy equity) • despite the low pay, the interview process was bloated and tedious; it also included a poorly planned test • this role is open because the company laid off most of the previous team, and now they’re rehiring for those same roles; bit of a red flag • Instacart has a very poor brand reputation where I live, yet everyone I met seemed to think they’re FAANG-caliber lol • I wish companies would figure out that long interview processes are a waste of everyone's time. People who interview well do not always perform well.
