I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at International Paper in May 2019
Interview
The interview was really great. I interviewed with an Engineer and an HR manager from different sites. They were really nice and made the interview really easy. I also had great contact with a human resources person that was very helpful and nice. It was about an hour long email. They told me a few days later that I was passed along to the mill for another interview if they were interested. About 2 weeks later, I still hadn't heard anything, so I reached back out and they said that they contacted the mill and I had not been selected and I would be receiving a rejection email in the next few days. I have no problem with the corporate side of it, but I'm really disappointed in the mill for having a position that I was qualified for and was recommended and they didn't even reach out to interview me or even send me an email on why I wasn't selected or even considered, it is just going to be a corporate rejection email.

Interview
Very interactive, and fun. The job comes with a lot of physical labor so it was a great place for a former athlete like myself to be. They told me the company loves go getters and that being open to new opportunities is key.
