I was contacted by a consultant, and a telephonic HR was organised soon after that. The HR asked me questions about my current role and why was I looking for a change. She also told me to manipulate my answers a bit, when I come down for the F2F interview, as the panel was a little fastidious in screening the candidates. I told her the actual reason for the change and that I would maintain the reason.
After the HR round, I was given a writing test, including a lot of factual data. The test was a little grueling. I cleared that though. I was then scheduled for the F2F for the panel. The panel was very unprofessional. They rescheduled my interview thrice for about 3 weeks. After repeated following up and requesting to not reschedule again, I was called on the fourth week.
Once again, at the office, they made me wait for about 1.5 hours. The panel consisted of 2 interviewers. One was the manager, other looked like an intern and completely inexperienced. The questions they asked were very bookish and I found some extremely irrelevant.
The interview lasted for about 40 mins, after which I was once again asked to submit a sample.
I heard 3 days after the interview that they had decided to not go ahead because I seemed that I wouldn't be flexible with their working hours. This was the most bizarre thing, because the timings were never discussed during the interview!
As i found out from other people, they are extremely unprofessional about their whole hiring process. If anything, I was glad to be not given an offer. The interview had a negative impact on me, and I would have rejected them even if an offer had been made.
