      Executive Assistant Interview

      22 Jun 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Long Island City, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at JetBlue (Long Island City, NY) in Apr 2017

      Interview

The interview process was extremely long, the initial phone interview started in the beginning of April with the senior recruiter and followed by an in person meeting with the senior recruiter and the current employee in the role two weeks after that. Then it followed another phone interview with one of the hiring managers a week later and then an in person interview with the hiring manager once again and also the general counsel a week after that. At this point it was nearing the end of May and understood the holiday long weekend was beginning so I expected not hear from then till maybe the following week but was never contacted again. I even followed up with an email to the recruiting coordinator and the hiring manager and no response was ever provided. It seems very unprofessional after going through such a long process to not even give the "you were not selected email". All in all the office was very nice and large, the staff was friendly and seemed extremely interested in me which is why I wish I would know how it went south so quickly. I think just a faster communication can improve this process to not prolong the unnecessary steps.
