30 min interview that consisted of a resume review and then questions. The questions were very general (elevator pitch, conflict resolution, teamwork, volunteer, etc.). My technical skills were reviewed as part of my resume, but no technical questions were asked.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Johnson Controls (San José, Alajuela) in Jun 2025
Interview
My experience applying to Johnson Controls was very negative. After going through several interviews and even receiving a job offer, the process became unclear: for almost two months I received no communication regarding the status of my application. Finally, I was informed that they would not proceed with my hiring, without providing a clear explanation or handling the situation appropriately.
I believe that a recruitment process should be transparent, consistent, and respectful of candidates’ time. In this case, the lack of communication and clarity caused great frustration and reflects poorly on the company’s talent management practices.
