Over the past few years, I’ve interviewed with J&J multiple times and was even encouraged by a recruiter to be patient with the process, as they told me there was interest and a strong fit. While I appreciated that transparency and the thoughtfulness of that recruiter, the extended timelines and repeated lack of follow-through have been difficult. I ultimately accepted another offer due to the length of J&J’s process.
A year ago, I was approached again and decided to re-engage with an open mind. However, the experience felt rushed, and I did not feel my background was genuinely considered.
I share this in hopes that it’s helpful. I’ve always admired J&J and remain respectful of the work you do, but I would encourage a more consistent and intentional candidate experience, particularly when reaching out to individuals who have already invested significant time and interest.
