Initial Phone screen - HR rep was a little off-putting about the position and did not answer fully questions asked about the company specifically, stated I should save those for next round. Heard back about being pushed through a week later. Scheduled and rescheduled for 3 round of interviews, first with someone not in the department who asked tech skills, second with the hiring manager, and finally with another associate who doesn't work in the department. First two interviews went really well, and the 3rd interview seemingly went well also. Was told to expect next steps for additional 4th interview. Received reject email a full week after 3rd interview, never scheduled for 4th interview although I was told I would be. Typical "we were so impressed with your candidacy and the time you took out to interview with us" email. What is with interviewing 3 and 4 rounds to not offer the role? Especially when you are being asked about fit and informing the candidate that they are a great fit and their experience translates well to the role? Stop wasting people's time!
