      Private School Marketing Team Interview

      28 Jul 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at K12 in Jun 2011

      Interview

I submitted my resume in response to an ad placed on Monster. About 4 days later I was called by a contracted recruiter who did a very brief phone interview with me (to make sure I was a true candidate). About 2 days after that initial conversation, the recruiter emailed me to let me know that he had contacted the executive who created the position and that person wanted to have a phone interview. After a couple of emails between he and I, we set up a time and date for the call, which was conducted 4 dyas later. That phone interview lasted about 1.5 hours and was mainly the executive providing me details about the company and the position. I asked a few questions and was given lengthy responses and background info, which I appreciated. After that, the recruiter emailed me that I had been moved to thenext stage, which was face to face intrerviewing with 3 different execs, (including the first one). The recruiter allowed me to pick the date and they emailed me the times. The receptionist was ready for me when I arrived and I was taken to a conference room and met individually with 3 different people, all of whom had my resume in front of them and were prepared for the interview. It was comfortable and welcoming. I felt as though I was really given a glimpse of what working for that company might be like. No tough questions. Hardest was "describe an incident where you had to deal with an upset parent and how you dealt with it and what the outcome was".
