I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Honolulu, HI) in May 2012
Interview
Panel interview with 3 other Communications Consultants (peers of the position being hired for). This was the first time I've ever been interviewed for a job by people who might see me as competition. If you're a Communications Consultant and have your eye on the next job up the chain, are you going to hire someone with more and better experience than you have? Crazy system. The kickers were the questions about my own history of health care insurance. "We were all Kaiser babies. Are you currently or have you ever been insured by Kaiser Permanente?" (I never have been.) It had that certain cult-like feel. And what were they going to do, check my medical records before hiring??
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Pleasanton, CA) in Nov 2017
Interview
The interview process has been long, but well worth it. I have met some amazing people throughout the process, I have interviewed with a total of nine people. I had three phone interviews and then was flown out to Pleasanton, CA where I had interviews with different people in various departments.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, CA) in Jun 2013
Interview
Contacted by a Kaiser recruiter for a position within IT. Had two rounds of interviews. The teams didn't seem to know exactly what they needed, and had no clear communications strategy for their project. I had two interviews with two levels of recruiters then was brought in for two rounds of interviews. The first one was with team members. The second was with other team members and the leader of the group .

I applied through other source. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
I was a very thorough process. First, I had a phone interview with a company recruiter. Then, I had a phone interview with a senior manager. Then, I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager. Finally, I had a writing and editing test.
