      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente in Mar 2016

      Interview

It was a longer process than normal. I applied online and it was a couple weeks until I got the call from a recruiter about this position asking a couple of basic questions about why I want to work for Kaiser, etc. She really liked my answers and told me I should be expecting a call from the hiring manager in about a week and even gave me her direct line if I didn't hear back. In exactly a week I didn't hear anything so I called her back and left a message. That same day she called me back and advised me that she did forward my information and it was up to the hiring manager to make the decision to call me. About exactly 4 total weeks later, the hiring manager ended up calling me and described the position for me as well as asked me to come in for an interview. She wanted me to come in the next day but we agreed to 2 days later. I went to the interview and it was quick, maybe 20 mins. She really liked me and, with the experience I have, I was perfect for the position. She basically hired me on the spot and said she would forward my info to the recruiter as soon as the interview ended. Two days later, I received a call from the same recruiter offering me the position. I accepted and the same day received my offer letter as well as drug test info. I did my drug test the very next day. Once that was done, my background check was still processing and they even asked for my old W2 or check stubs for my very first job that was 8 years ago. The background check was the most lengthy, about 2 weeks and a few days just to complete. FYI: Expect this and make sure u have either a W2 or pay stubs for all your old jobs up until 10 years ago. Once that was done I received a call to do a health screening and physical exam. All your immunizations have to be up to date so be sure to have that. But once u reach that point, you're pretty much hired and u will receive info from HR to do the other PW and orientation info. Overall it took about a 3 weeks from the offer to officially hired
