I applied online. I interviewed at Kate Spade New York (Markham, ON) in Jul 2026
Interview
I had an incredibly disappointing and unprofessional interview experience with this location.
The process started fine, I completed a one way video interview and was invited to come in for an in person follow up. However, the communication breakdown started. I emailed them back with a quick question regarding the interview, received zero response, and had to call the restaurant myself just to get clarification, staff were nice and helpful.
On the day of the actual interview, I arrived on time. The service staff told me the interviewer would be out to meet me in 5 minutes. I sat and waited. 15 minutes passed, then 30, then 40. I waited for an entire hour in the restaurant, and the interviewer completely failed to show up or even send a message explaining the delay. After 60 minutes of sitting there, I told the staff I was leaving.
To make matters worse, I have received absolutely no follow up, explanation, or apology via email or phone for wasting my time.
Utter lack of communication and respect. Save your time and apply elsewhere.
