      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kforce (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2019

      Interview

Waste of time. I've invested two months into the recruitment process with Kforce and have networked and connected with over 8 representatives from the company. The interviewing process was fairly easy. Each interview lasted on average about 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours and I made it to the fifth stage of the interviewing process. They generally just want to get to know you and how much grit and motivation you have to succeed in the sales recruiting industry. Each person was very professional and engaging. I was called in for a phone conversation the next day with the internal recruiter who was super friendly and really helps you every step along the way and wants the best for you. Later, I was introduced to the recruitment director who was also a great person. I had an informative phone interview for about 1 hour and a half and then was called in the next day to schedule an on-site interview at the LA office. The interview took about 2 hours on that day. I've met with the director himself, the managing director, and a technical recruiter. Each of them was able to share great insight into the industry and also were very engaging in the interview. Honestly, I had a great experience every step along the way and felt like this was a great company to grow with. A day later, I got contacted by the internal recruiter to get in contact with another manager for a webcam interview. This is when the interviewing process felt drawn out and also there's a HUGE difference between being strict about the structure of his interviews and degrading the interviewee throughout the whole conversation. He asked me four curveball questions and had me pitch 2 sales pitches to him (even though the other representatives mentioned that no experience necessary as long as you are motivated and want to succeed, and they will train you if you are the right candidate). Throughout my conversation with the webcam interview, I felt belittled. When I proceeded to the questions section, I asked him why Kforce other than other companies? He began talking low of other companies and then said that all the other companies are "too fratty" and are not as professional. Again, the overall interviewing process was a great opportunity to learn more about the company and the industry but honestly I'm glad I didn't sacrifice offers for this, I know I know I'll be in better hands now that I'm not proceeding in the interviewing process with Kforce. Thank you Kforce for wasting both of our times.

      Interview

Lots of open ended questions. Looking for people that aren't easily intimidated. People that can manage the grind. Even recruiting is really sales here. They did allow shadowing and take me into the "pit" to see how the team works which was helpful.

      Interview

3 step process. 1st phone call with recruiter, 2nd with hiring manager, 3rd onsite with a few members of the team from sales and recruiting. The overall process was not overly complicated, and everyone was very kind and friendly.

      Interview

Worst interview process/hiring team I've ever experienced. Started with initial phone screening with an internal recruiter, who just sounded like she didn't want to be there at all and just reading off a script. Whenever I would ask a question, she would say that's a good question for the next step in the interview process. Very obvious she didn't care. But, whatever I don't think much of it and we keep going. Eventually we schedule a phone interview with someone from the actual hiring team and I'm told I will get a call on X date and X time from X person. That time and date comes, and I get no call. I wait for 30 minutes and then send an email to the recruiter asking about this situation. I then get a call saying she "forgot to put me on the schedule" and that she was having "computer issues." Still, whatever. I want a job so I gotta see it through. She asks if I would be able to take the phone call from the specified person in 15 minutes time - I say of course no problem. While I'm waiting, I get a call from the recruiter again, THREE minutes before I'm about to get a call from a person that I have spent a good amount of time researching so I can do well in the interview. She says "sooooo X won't be calling you now but someone else from our hiring team will. Good luck!" and that was the end of that conversation. So most likely, she forgot to put me on the interview schedule, asked around to see if anyone was available to do a last minute interview with me, and some guy that had no clue about my application got dragged out of what he was doing to interview me. I get the call from the random associate, and the interview is just horrible - he wasn't briefed on my application or anything so I pretty much had to go through the initial phone screening interview with this new guy all over again, and then do the actual interview that I was scheduled to do. Weirdly, this guy seemed like he was trying to get me to not want the job. Talked down on parts of the company, sounded like the most bored person on earth. Wait, it gets better! He starts reading me the job description, but I realize very early on that whatever job position he's reading a description on, it's not for the recruiter role I applied for! As for the questions, they are your average interview questions that anyone can answer with a little thought. The woman who conducted the phone screening single handedly ruined my chance of employment with this company, but I guess it was a blessing in disguise. This company had so many issues just trying to move an applicant from the phone screening stage to the first interview, I can't imagine what it's like working there day to day. STAY AWAY
