I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at L'Oréal
Interview
Applied online - usual questionnaire style application form. Include CV and covering letter, I think the cover letter is very important - chance to sell yourself and why you picked L'Oreal
E-mail for numerical reasoning test - numerical test was not as hard as others I have attempted
Telephone Interview - Lovely HR personnel, 20 minute interview, competency based
Assessment Centre - long, challenging day; various activities including other numerical/aptitude tests, interviews and group tasks.

Question 1
What was your biggest risk? - Didn't prepare for this question!
Some tasks on the day were more challenging than others.
The interview was professional and focused heavily on my practical experience. I was asked to explain my previous projects in detail, including the specific outcomes and my individual contributions. We also had an in-depth discussion about the brand’s current marketing direction, where I was encouraged to propose creative promotion strategies tailored to their target audience. Overall, it was an engaging conversation that tested both my past performance and future potential.

Question 1
Could you explain the core results of your previous project and propose a specific promotion strategy to enhance our brand's awareness?
First interview is done with HR and is more about “tell about yourself” and why L’Oréal and which role do you want. The person responsible for the interview asked things from the beginning of my career, not related to the job.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at L'Oréal (Shanghai, Shanghai) in May 2025
