I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Leidos in Jul 2024
Interview
Met with the hiring manager virtually twice introductory interview was generic and after that they wanted a take home project.
The project was fairly straight forward doing some data transformations with some unique file types. I gave back 3 solutions and provided the pros and cons of each and a final recommendation. I get a very angry email back saying they want to see full code/git and documentation not just a report. Seemed a bit off so I provided it for one of my solutions but modding it and burying my signature in some of the functions and comments. I send it off and literally get ghosted follow up calls and emails go unreturned.
A couple months later I get an email for some one on linkedin saying they had questions about my previous work. They were from out of the country and got hired into the role but were using my interview project in production for Leidos, and it wasn't even the good one. No one read or reviewed the code obviously before stealing it and putting it into production.
Absolutely disgraceful
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do some data transformations on the provided data.
The process was simple. First we looked aty resume, then we delved into my technical details. After that weolked at hypotheticals. Overall, the process was streamlined and simple. The process was also short.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Leidos (Reston, VA)
Interview
Do not waste your time. This company will string you along for months, put you through unnecessary panel interviews with people who have different ideas of what the position needs that do not align with each other. In the middle of the process they will lower the compensation offered dramatically assuming you are already committed so you will accept that they changed the terms mid-process. Again, do not waste your time. These people have no idea what they want. You could be spending precious time on better opportunities.
I had a very positive interview expereince specially with recruiter Heather Nguyen. she was very professional and explained about the whole process. the very special and unique thing about leidos is they provide feedback after interview even if you were not selected!
Thanks Heather!
