I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Leidos (Egg Harbor Township, NJ) in Aug 2019
Interview
Two months after applying received email to set up interview for the following week. The hiring manager clearly didn't have any formal process for interviewing candidates. He even told me that he don't know what to ask and did not seem familiar with my resume. The only question he did ask was if I had any internship experience (this was an entry level position), I replied no. He would have known this if he actually read my resume. After this he struggled to think of some questions but eventually passed me off to another person to conduct a tour of the lab. This person didn't ask me anything either.
I was rejected the next day.
This "interview" was a complete waste of time for everyone involved. Any amount of due diligence on the hiring managers part would have saved everyone's time.
Edit: A couple days after my interview, the job listing was re-posted but looking for more experience. I don't think I actually had a real interview. I think the manager was gaming the system to get the customer to pay for more experienced people, but had to give the appearance of actually trying to find qualified entry-level candidates.
