Bizarre experience, turned up, the hiring manager was clueless she had an interview scheduled, took me for another candidate who was supposed to be there an hour earlier, even showed me the list of the other candidates that she had interviewed on the day and eventually sat down to interview me. The role advertised was full time, but kept asking me if I could start as part time and kept telling me stories how previously people have started as part time yet became full time gradually learning the skills, including telling me someone joined part time and within 2 days they were made full time, and even explicitly stated that she was hiring for part-time and for a different brand within lloyds and that role was part time and asking me if there was no way I could do part time which I refused. She had no other people on the interview as no one was available then mid-interview another lady came and joined the interview with the hiring manager introducing her as the lady she was trying to get hold of to start the interview. The interview went on for an hour with star based and other questions such as what were my first impressions of the branch and how did I find that, when have I promoted a product, when I have promoted digital banking, when have I dealt with a difficult customer et al. Anyhow then received an email from HR saying they were rejecting my application due to my assessment results. It was hilarious and I am thankful that I did not get the job. Can't even begin to imagine if this is their attitude - highly unorganised, untruthful, dishonest when they are interviewing what will the actually company culture be! Should have known when I received the interview confirmation late, only 2 evenings before the interview. Well, their loss as I have been hired by a much bigger bank.
