During my interview at the Hyderabad office, I encountered a situation that I believe warrants attention. One of the interviewers, a female technical interviewer, seemed to lack a proper understanding of the subject matter. She continuously scrolled through a document or possibly an online list of questions, reading them out without any real comprehension of the answers. Moreover, she did not introduce herself, which is a basic courtesy in any professional setting.
In contrast, another interviewer conducted the process effectively, asking relevant, real-time questions that tested practical knowledge. It's concerning that someone who doesn't appear to have the necessary skills or understanding to conduct a technical interview was part of the panel. This not only wastes the candidate's time but also reflects poorly on the company. I strongly recommend that Lloyds Banking Group review their interview process and ensure that all interviewers are adequately trained and capable of assessing candidates in a meaningful way. Even after answering all questions she rejected people! What a waste!

Applied for a few roles, first stage for most was a Karat, which was quite hard and difficult to prepare for given they were a bit vague about what they were assessing. Generally positive about the Karat, also had an interview with a Hiring Manager, and although this was quite an easy interview it felt extremely corporate.

Interview was scheduled at 11 AM and kept waiting till 4PM for first round of interview.
Interviewer lacked knowledge and couldn't comprehend the answers and couldn't validate detailed explanation, instead looking for single sentence answer that's displayed in her interview questions page. Bulk rejection seems to be the only purpose the interviewer is serving.

Short process with direct access to the employer. Screening call was quite short but a good way to meet the team. No technical element, just technical questions instead and also soft skill questions from the product owner.
