MYOB interview questions

The interview process was a behavioural interview followed by a system design interview. For the system design, you are asked to present a case study which of course takes longer than the few hours suggested to prepare for. It seemed to go pretty well and I was looking forward to hearing back but I was ghosted, for 2 months until I reached out to them. I got feedback that I didn't get the role because I said I wasn't keen on delivery management and that it was a key part of the role. That seemed strange to me that there was such a focus on that one question when the bulk of the interview and the case study itself was purely technical. I said to the HR rep I'd still be interested in another IC role. She said she would speak to the team and get back to me the following week. That was 3 months ago and I never heard from them.
