I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Magellan Health (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
While interviewing for Care Manager, it was surprising that there was more than one hiring Mgr at the interview, therefore presented on the spot for consideration of more than one department. Be prepared to answer if you want 'this or that' department on the spot.
However, despite that consideration they may already have decided for you which dept. you will be in; triage, concurrent review, EAP, etc.
It was relatively casual - some behavioral questions and standard interview questions about your resume.
They promised an adjustment in work schedule, e.g. 9am start vs. 830 start - but it never materialized.
They stated a choice between departments - but they decided for me.
Interestingly no clinical vignette questions or case conceptualization questions asked.

Other Care Manager interview reviews for Magellan Health
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Magellan Health (New York, NY) in Sept 2015
Interview
A recruiter contacted me via Indeed. A phone conversation led my resume being forwarded to another recruiter. Another phone conversation with the second recruiter led to my resume being forwarded to the local office and I was called in for an interview. The interview didn't focus on my qualifications, only questions that were obviously about how I would mesh with their current team.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Magellan Health (Des Moines, IA) in Sept 2013
Interview
I was contacted by a hiring coordinator and then had phone interview with supervisor. Very easy interview - almost too easy. Within a few days the hiring coordinator called me back with an offer. I made a counter offer and then we wound up meeting in the middle for the salary that I accepted.

Question 1
I don't think I was asked any questions. The supervisor mostly told me about the position I was applying for and referred to my experience from my resume
