I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Manulife (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2016
Interview
Screening Phone call + on site interview with the hiring manager. Very pleasant chat and not too technical. The focus was on machine learning + business related questions. Machine learning questions were not too technical and the business related questions were quite standard. I couldn't find anything on glassdoor about this role, but my background in business helped me there. So if you want to prepare for such a role, just review revenue/cost/profit model and some very basic machine learning questions.

2. Before the technical interview, the candidate suddenly received an email informing them that the interview had been changed from online to in-person, which was an unnecessary hassle for the applicant.
3. During the technical interview, the interviewer did not allow the candidate to fully present the entire solution, showing a lack of respect for the candidate’s work.

5. Based on the interview, it became clear that their work on data modeling was relatively simple. It's puzzling where their arrogance comes from.
6. Overall, the HK Advanced Analytics team of this company comes across as arrogant, disrespectful to candidates, and overly self-important. There is even a suspicion of exploiting candidates for their ideas. This was an extremely disappointing interview experience.
