I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Marriott International (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2012
Interview
I spoke to a two managers and a front office supervisor in my initial interview. When interviewing with Marriott, it's best to use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action you took, Results you achieved) when responding to questions. They inquired about my customer service experience, communication skills, ability to work in teams. Luckily, I had been working for another hospitality company and had plenty of experience to respond. At the property I work for, developing a rapport with the interviewer is just as important as communicating your job qualifications. Management has always tried to hire people who will fit in and work well with our team.

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Marriott International (Bristol, TN) in May 2025
Interview
It was a pretty quick and straightforward process. I applied online, and I had an interview a week later. I went to the interview, did my background check, and a week later I got hired and started my onboarding process.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Marriott International (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2025
Interview
An application and online assessment, via the marrriott website. After this you set up an in-person interview on site.
However, it is an incredibly unprofessional and disorganized set up. Interviews typically happen after the scheduled time or are cancelled last minute. Very little appropriate introduction to the company's expectations for the role.

Very smooth and easy process from start to finish. They asked basic interview questions then situational questions. My first interview was with HR then the Front Office Team, then the General Manager.
